“A personal favorite was the Roses scene, in which performer Syrena was carried from the bar into the audience on a serving platter singing “Toxic” by Britney Spears, only to transition into “Habanera” from the opera Carmen, and then back into “Toxic” — all while bellydancing, being stripped of her clothes, and maintaining a fiery chemistry with Petite Rouge. It truly has to be seen to be believed.”

“at one point Syrena walks on stage and literally hypnotizes the audience with her belly dancing. Her isolations are so exquisitely precise that you begin to suspect each rib and muscle has rehearsed separately.”

Deep and mysterious, she caused more than a gasp when she performed a daring belly-dance in a mesmerizing rhythm while balancing impossible objects on her head and body. Syrena moves like oil; each swirl of her hips, each twist of her shoulders, is smooth and fluid yet precise, in a perfect harmony of strength and softness."

These include three remarkable vocalists: the bluesy Lindsay Rose, who cuts an imposing figure in sequins and a feathered headdress; the seductive soprano Syrena, whose neovaudevillian specialty spot finds her balancing large objects on her head while belly dancing (minus the belly); and the quite astounding Pepper Solana, a tattooed toughie whose range can climb to Yma Sumac peaks.”
